FROM GULSHAN: The activists of Ganogajoron Mancho asked the government to cut up all sorts of diplomatic relations with Pakistan for their intervention of internal affairs of Bangladesh over execution of war crimes convict Quader Mollah.

The leaders of the Ganojagoron Mancho made the plea while addressing a rally here on Wednesday afternoon.

Many people gathered here to cordon the Pakistani High Commission in Dhaka and police obstructed them.

Police charged baton on the Ganojagaron Mancho activists when they tried to take position in front of the Pakistan High Commission, leaping the police barricade, in city’s Gulshan-2 area at around 4:00pm Wednesday.

Later, the Mancho activists took position on the road near the High Commission and demanded withdrawal the police personnel who charged the baton on the angry activists.

During the time, an activist of the Mancho, Bindu, was injured.

They also chanted slogans against Pakistan.

Witnesses said thousands of activists reached at the Pakistan High Commission around 3:45pm and chanted slogans ‘Joy Bangla,’ Ghosts of Pakistan, go back to your Pakistan.

On December 16, the National Assembly of Pakistan passed a resolution against hanging of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Quader Mollah for his ‘loyalty’ with Pakistan during the events of 1971.
