A fire that broke out at SA Paribahan Building in capital's Kakrail area today (October 9) was brought under control after 46 minutes of effort.

Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense Lt. Colonel Md. Rezaul Karim confirmed the matter.

He said after receiving information of fire at 10:12am, twelve fire engines rushed to the spot and brought the inferno at the building under control at 10.58am.

The fire originated at the fourth floor of the building but the cause of the fire was not immediately known.

No casualty, as well, was reported due to the fire by now.
