Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the metro rail services on the Agargaon-Motijheel route in Dhaka on October 29.
Secretary ABM Amin Ullah Noori confirmed the matter on Monday (October 9).
On 28 December last year, Bangladesh entered a new era as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the country's first-ever elevated metro rail in the capital Dhaka. Then, the operation of the metro train from Uttara-Agargaon was inaugurated.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), a government-owned company, is implementing the metro rail projects.
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has been constructing the metro rail and providing soft loan for the project.
The construction work of the MRT Line-6 began in 2016.
