A fire that broke out at Sayeed Grand Centre at Uttara in the capital early Wednesday was brought under control after around four hours.
The fire at the 14-storey building in Sector 7 area broke out around 1am, said Fire Service Headquarters Media Cell Officer Anwarul Islam Dolan.
He said that a total of 24 firefighting units from different fire stations rushed to the spot at 1:18am and began work to bring the fire under control.
The fire was brought under control at about 4:40am, he said.
No casualty was reported so far and the cause of the fire was still unknown.
