NARAYANGANJ: A police man sustained bullet injury when he went to arrest a terrorist in Gopnagor area of the district around on Thursday.

The injured cop was identified as Sub-Inspector (SI) Ataur Rahman from Narayanganj Sadar Model Thana.

He was taken To Narayanganj General Hospital.

Police held two terrorists--Sabuj, and Swad Hossain Bunty--who were known in the metropolis as drug dealers, and recovered three pistols, bullets and yaba tablets from their possessions.

The police official said they arrested Sabuj and recovered five round bullets and yaba tablets.

Later, Police Superintendent of Narayanganj Syed Nurul Islam conducted a drive in Gopnagar Barirtek area around 1:00pm after his confession, he added.

At one stage of the drive, Bunty and his assistants opened fire to the police, leaving Ataur injured.

Later, police arrested Bunty also.

Police Superintendent of Narayanganj Syed Nurul Islam said they would brief about the matter in the afternoon.
