Security beefed up in capital

DHAKA: The law enforcers are on alert position in the capital on Friday apprehending subversive activities ahead of BNP-declared ‘March to Dhaka’.

Considering previous experience of Friday, security measures have been increased in different parts of the city.

Putting barricade on streets, law enforcers are checking people and vehicles including rickshaws, CNGs, Taxi cabs.

Additional police forces were deployed in front of all important mosques.

Besides, police motorcycle team was kept standby as striking force.

Motijheel Thana Officer-in-Charge Forman Ali told banglanews, “Additional security measures have taken considering ongoing subversive activities.”

Paltan Thana Officer-in-Charge Golam Morshed said that after Juma prayer, miscreants try to create anarchy and that’s why additional security has been taken.”

Rampura Thana Officer-in-Charge Kripa Sindhu Bala said that special security measures were taken in Malibagh, Rampura areas.

Badda Thana Officer-in-Charge Iqbal Hossain told banglanews, “Additional police forces were deployed in front of all mosques.”
