SIRAJGANJ: The 15-km tailback on the western side of Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway created and vehicles are slowly gaining their normal speed from Saturday noon.
Highway police and local sources said the vehicles were moving slowly because of the gridlock of last 10-hour.
Local and highway police sources said due to a head-on collision between two goods-laden trucks on the western side of Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway of Pachlia area under Salanga Thana around 3:00am created the 15-Kkm long traffic congestion.
Later, law enforcers rushed in and started working to ease the tailback.
Officer-in-Charge of Hatikumrul Highway Ali Farid Ahmed told banglanews: “Police is working to reduce the traffic jam.”
