Bus-train communications halted

MYMENSINGH: The movement of buses and trains from the district remained halted ahead of the BNP-led 18-party alliance rally ‘March for Democracy’ on Sunday.

Apart from this, some 25 BNP-Jamaat men were picked up by the law enforcement agency from different points of the district for their alleged involvement in sabotage centering the programme.

People are facing a lot of sufferings in the area as the bus and train services are virtually disconnected in the district.

Mymensingh South District BNP General Secretary Abu Wahab Akand alleged that the government is obstructing our pre-scheduled programme by stopping public transport.

Police Super of the district M Moinul Haque said some 25 accused BNP-Jamaat activists were held from different places of the district.
