TANGAIL: A nine-year old child was killed and four others injured in a road accident on Madhupur-Mymensingh highway of Telki area under Madhupur Thana of the district on Saturday afternoon.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Officer-in-Charge of Madhupur Thana Mojibur Rahman told banglanews a passenger carrying tempo (engine-run vehicle) collided with a police patrol van in the area, leaving the child dead at the spot and four others injured.

Locals rushed the injured to Madhupur Upazila Health Complex, he added.
