Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has expressed satisfaction over the arrest of the criminals responsible for the killing of a gold trader in Chattogram and the robbery of a jewelry shop in Noakhali.

BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir has issued a statement in this regard on Monday (December 11).

In the statement BAJUS President expressed his gratitude to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and the Bangladesh Police for their rapid action in arresting the criminals. 

Gold trader Suman Saha was brutally killed in Chittagong on November 28 and police detained three suspects in connection with the killing.

Besides, robberies took place after killing a night guard at two gold shops in Chaprashirhat of Kabirhat upazila in Noakhali on Friday.The BAJUS president also urged the authorities concerned to ensure the overall safety and security of the jewelers, as well as the gold businesses, throughout the country.
