Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces on Monday (December 11) said army will be deployed ahead of the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections.

He said the force will be in the field from December 29 to January 10.

The officer came up with the information in a press conference organized at the media center of the election building in the capital.

He said for 13 days, from December 29 to January 10, deployment of armed forces was discussed with the election commission.

More than 35,000 army personnel were deployed in the 11th National Assembly elections. If there is more need this time, it will be deployed accordingly, the official added.
