DHAKA: Journalists and police locked into a scuffle at press club in city on Sunday morning following a bad comment by senior officers of police to journalists.

Sources said that police obstructed the journalists who thronged the area for gathering news while they were trying to enter the national press club.

At one stage of altercation, Ramna Zone Assistant Police Commissioner (AC) Shibli Noman scolded journalists as national thief which triggered the scuffle.
