DHAKA:  An activist of Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, was found dead in capital’s Malibagh area on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mansur, a Chhatra Shibir activist.

Locals found Monsur who sustained bullet injuries lying on the ground at a lane in Malibagh Chowdhurypara area at around 11:00am.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Locals suspected that Mansur received bullet injury in a clash between police and Chhatra Shibir in the area on Sunday morning.

Chhatra Shibir central publicity secretary Abu Saleh M Yeahia claimed Mansur was an activist of their organisation.
