The Election Commission today (December 15) delivered a show-cause notice to Sharmin Akhter Nipa alias Mahiya Mahi, for violating the election code of conducts.

Sessions Judge Md Abu Sayed, also chairman of election investigation committee of the constituency, served the show-cause notice.

According to the notice, Mahi an independent candidate for Rajshahi-1 constituency, has been asked to give an explanation by December 17.

General Secretary of Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote and Sharmin Akhter Nipa alias Mahiya Mahi will contest in the constituency as an independent candidate.
