Bangladesh observing state mourning at Kuwait Emir's death

Bangladesh is observing a one-day state mourning today (December 18) at the death of its real friend Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.

The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.

The national flag is being kept at half-mast at all government, semi-government and autonomous institutions, all government and non-government buildings including educational institutions and Bangladesh missions abroad in observance of the state mourning.

Special prayers are being offered at all mosques and other religious institutions seeking eternal peace of the departed soul.

Kuwait's Emir passed away on Saturday at the age of 86.
