Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today (December 23) termed the BNP as a terrorist party, not a political one.

Awami League (AL) president made the remark during a virtual meeting with some districts this noon.

She participated in public meetings of Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Satkhira, Netrakona, Rangamati and Barguna through video conference from her office in the capital.

The premier said, “BNP is not a political party, it is a terrorist party. Jamaat is a war criminal group. The country should be kept free from these war criminals and terrorists. Then the trend of development will continue in the country.”

“Development will continue only when the elections are fair, the people will choose their candidates through the elections and the democratic process will continue,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina also said that the democratic trend should be continued and the trend of development should also be continued.
