A fire broke out in a factory in Khyat Bhaluka Upazila, an industrial area of Mymensingh on Monday (December 25).

The incident happened in Hazirbazar Gadomia area of the upazila around 6 am.

Bhaluka Fire Service Senior Station Officer Atiqur Rahman confirmed the matter. 

He said the blaze was brought under control after an hour of effort.

According to the factory owner, there has been a loss of around Tk 5 crore, he said.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhaluka Model Police Station Shah Kamal Akand said that no casualties were reported.

However, the owner has filed a general diary in this regard, OC added.
