Ferry services on the Daulatdia-Paturia route resumed on Tuesday (December 26) morning after six hours.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) authority confirmed the matter. 

Ferry services were suspended due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Earlier, authorities suspended the services to avoid accidents when the fog density increased around midnight. 

The fog started to dissipate at around 8am today.

Due to the suspension, hundreds of vehicles were stranded on both sides, causing distress to passengers and drivers in the chilly weather.
