At least four people were killed and four others injured after a picnic bus collided head-on with a Leguna in Harbang area under Chakaria upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday (December 28).

The deceased Md Ridwan, 32, Moin Uddin, 44, Abu Bakkar, 30, and Jaynal, 34, were day labourers.

The accident took place on Cox's Bazar-Chattogram highway around 7:30am.

Chakaria Chiringa highway police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubul Haque confirmed the matter.

The police had seized the two vehicles and would take legal action, Mahbubul Haque added.
