An independent candidate of Naogaon-2 constituency (Patnitala and Dhamoirhat) in the 12th general elections, died early Friday (December 29).

Aminul Haque breathed his last at around 5am while undergoing treatment in a hospital in the capital Dhaka, according to son Asiful Haque.

Asiful said his father went to Dhaka on Monday for a court hearing. Aminul fall sick and was admitted to the hospital where he died.

He was suffering from various diseases, including diabetics and cardiac problem.

The body of Aminul will be taken to his ancestral village at Nazipur in Naogaon on Friday afternoon and after namaz-e-janaza he will buried at his family graveyard.
