Nurul Islam Hasib, of Dhaka Tribune, and Ashiqur Rahman Apu of ATN news, have been elected president and general secretary respectively of the executive committee of Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) for 2024.

The election to the DCAB executive committee was held on Sunday (Dec 31) in the capital.

Other 11-member executive committee of DCAB are - Tanjim Anwar (BSS), and Rabiul Haque (Daily Industry) jointly elected as Vice President,  Joint General Secretary Arifuzzaman (Dainik Amader Samayer), Treasurer Atiqur Rahman (Javabdihi) Office Secretary Morshed Hasib Hasan (Channel 24).

Pantho Rahman of Channel I, Mir Mostafizur Rahman of Financial Express, Ishrat Jahan Urmi of DBC, Parimal Palma of Daily Star and Masum Billah of Bdnews 24 have been elected as executive members.

Earlier, the AGM of the DCAB was held with former president Rezaul Karim Lotus in the chair.
