Election Commission of India Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Dharmendra Sharma is observing Tangail-2 (Gopalpur-Bhuapur) and Tangail-5 (Sadar) constituency elections as a foreign observer.

He will be observing elections as the leader of India's election observation delegation.

Dharmendra Sharma is accompanied by Election Commissioner Director General of India Mr. Narayana Bala Subramanian and Principal Secretary Mr. Mohammad Umar.

On January 3, the Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Md. Sheikh Faisal Mustafa Amin signed a letter in this regard.

“Indian election monitoring team will return to Dhaka at night after observing the election of these two constituencies,” said Tangail District Returning Officer Deputy Commissioner Md. Kaysarul Islam.
