DHAKA: The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) held international gold smuggling group chief Mohammad Ali and his four cohorts from the capital on Wednesday evening.
They were arrested with 134 gold bars weighting 15-kilogram and 630-gram worth Tk 5 crore.
Two of his cohorts Kamrul and Abu Jafar were identified as crew members of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and another as Ahmed Jamil Tuki, an Indian national.
RAB Headquarters confirmed the matter through a short message service (SMS) to banglanews.
