BARISAL: An elderly woman along with her son was hacked to death by the miscreants in Gati area under Babuganj upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.
 
The deceased were identified as Monika Mridha, 65, wife of Anil Mridha and her son Sushil Mridha, 45, residents of the area.
 
Sources said said the victims’ room was locked from outside for long time. Seeing the condition locals informed police.

Police recovered the bodies of mother and son from the room after breaking the lock around 11:00am.

The bodies were sent to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue.

Officer-in-Charge of Babuganj Thana Shah Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
