DHAKA: Two people were killed and five others injured in two separate road accidents in Babuganj of Barisal and Chauddagram of Comilla on Friday.

Our Barisal Correspondent said a motorcyclist was killed at Babuganj upazila of the district on Friday evening as a rashly driven bus knocked him down on Dhaka-Barisal highway.

The victim was identified as Shahidul Islam, 25, resident of the area.

Babuganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Shah Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

In Comilla: One person named Rejaul Karim, 35, and five others were injured as a truck collided head-on with a covered van on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Satgharia area of Chauddagram upazila at 4:00pm.  

The injured were rushed to Feni Sadar Hospital in critical condition.

Chauddagram Thana Officer-in-Charge Uttam Kumar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
