COMILLA: The rail communication of Chittagong with Dhaka and Sylhet restored on Saturday morning after a nine-hour halt due to derailment of compartments of a train in Nangalkot area of the district.
Confirming the matter, Feni Railway Engineer Abdul Halim told banglanews, “The train services resumed at around 11:15am.”
Earlier, the rail operations on Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet routes came to a halt at around 2:30am as four compartments of a Dhaka-bound container train derailed.
Later, on information, a rescue train from Feni rushed to the spot at 4:00am and started rescue operation to clear the rail track.
