A teenager was killed in an alleged attack by juvenile gang in Gosai Zoair area of Tangail Sadar Upazila on Thursday (April 25) evening.

The deceased was identified as Saim, 14. 

According to deceased's family and locals, Saim in the evening left home for Ranagacha (next to the house) of Gharinda Union of Tangail Sadar Upazila. 

Later, friends of Saim brought him home with injuries. When mother asked what had happened to her son, friends said that he had fallen from the loft (a sitting area made of bamboo) and was in pain, said family. 

After that, while pouring water on Saim’s head, the relatives saw blood on his chest. Later, he was rushed to Tangail Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.

The deceased's uncle Sohag said that Saim was murdered.

Tangail Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Sharfuddin said, “Initially we cannot say anything. I spoke to the relatives of the deceased. I can provide details about this later.”
