Two people were killed and four others injured after a bus hit an autorickshaw head-on in Mymensingh Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

The accident took place in Raghurampur area on the Mymensingh-Sherpur highway around 11am.

However, the details about the deceased could not be known immediately.

Kotwali Model Police Station sub-inspector Md Polash confirmed the matter.

Quoting locals, he said the accident occurred when a Sherpur-bound bus collided head-on with a CNG-run autorickshaw in the area, leaving two dead on the spot and four others injured.

The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, he said.

On information, police rushed to the spot and took the necessary steps, the SI added.
