Sending manpower to Malaysian market will not halt: Expat Minster

State Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Shafiqur Rahaman Chowdhury said that sending labour force to Malaysian market will not be halted.

He said while talking to journalists at the end of the 'send-off program' for workers going to Malaysia at the Bijoy-71 hall of the Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Ministry on Thursday (May 16).

He said, “The government is working to get the Malaysian quota again, in this regard we communicated with them. InshaAllah, Malaysia's labour market will not be closed.”

Shafiqur Rahaman Chowdhury said that the effort is on to fulfill Malaysia’s quota of sending the workers by May 31.

“We have sent a letter requesting to extend the time of sending the workers to Malaysia,” said the Minister.
