Two found dead in Cox's Bazar

Police today (May 17) recovered dead bodies of two fishermen from adjacent to the Khurushkul Shelter Project of Cox’s Bazar sadar Upazila.

The bodies were recovered around 12 am from a canal at Upazila Khurushkul Manupara.

The deceased were Abdul Khalek, 25, and Yashin Arafat, 24.

Khurushkul UP chairman Shahjahan Siddique confirmed the matter.

He said, "In the morning, local people spotted two bodies on the side of the canal and informed me. Then I informed police. The two youths were fishermen by profession. Two days ago, they returned from the sea after fishing. But I still can't say how they died. Police will be able to tell after autopsy.''

Officer-in-charge of Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Rockibuzzaman said the bodies of two fishermen have been recovered. Police are still at the scene.
