The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places over four divisions and at one or two places over four divisions, with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over four divisions.

According to the BMD's latest bulletin, light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogramand Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, WestBengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.

Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay, the forecast valid for next 24 hours begins from 9am today.

Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 36.4 degree Celsius Rajshahi and minimum temperature today was recorded 24.9 degree Celsius at Tetulia.

Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 63 millimeters(mm) at Tetulia.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
