A Chattogram court ordered to attach and freeze all the movable and immovable assets Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Kamrul Hasan and his wife on the charge of acquiring wealth from unknown sources.

Chattogram Senior Special Judge Begum Zebunnesa passed the order following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chattogram Assistant Director Mohammad Imran Hossain, said ACC Public Prosecutor (PP) Kazi Sanwar Ahmed Lovlu.

Kamrul is now posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Public Order Management Department of the CMP.

According to the ACC, Kamrul earned wealth of Tk9.73 crore while his wife Saima Begum Tk1.62 crore from unknown sources.

The ACC investigation revealed the information of various assets including several flats, lands and joint investment in apartment building of them.
