Land slide triggered from torrential rain caused death of two including a child at Sikderpara and Palangkata of Cox’s Bazar town at early this morning.

The deceased were identified as Md Hasan, 10, a resident of Sikderpara area of Cox’s Bazar town and Nurjahan, 27, a resident of Palangkata area.

“Land slide have killed two –where a child and a female. The bodies have been kept in the morgue of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital”, said the Resident Medical Officer of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital Dr Ashiqur Rahman.

Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Rakibuzzaman said that several land slide incidents were occurred in Cox’s Bazar town and the death news of two so far have been revealed.
