Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.

According to the met office forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9am today, the axis of monsoon troughs runs through Punjab, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal center of the low to Assam across Bangladesh. 

Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may fall by (1-2)oC over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 36.2 degree celsius at Dinajpur and minimum temperature today was recorded 23.9 degree celsius at Bandarban, it added.

Highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours was recorded 140millimeters(mm) at Cox'sBazar.
