The government has withdrawn deputy commissioners from 25 districts across the country and reassigned them to various ministries and departments of the government.

A separate notification was issued in this regard by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday (August 20).

The districts are - Dhaka, Sylhet, Habiganj, Mymensingh, Magura, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Naogaon, Natore, Cox's Bazar, Chittagong, Noakhali, Gazipur, Comilla, Moulvibazar, Khulna, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Sherpur, Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Pabna, Bogra, Joypurhat, and Chandpur.

As part of its move to reshuffle in the public administration, the government has already promoted 30 Additional Superintendents of Police (ASP) to Superintendent of Police (SP) for bringing dynamism to the force.
