The Bangladesh Army has discovered a clandestine weapons manufacturing facility in Sitakunda’s Salimpur union, detaining four suspected militants during a special operation.

According to the army, the raid was carried out on Saturday (August 30) in the Chinnamul area following intelligence reports. Soldiers from the Sindukchhari Zone, under the Guimara region of Khagrachhari, led the operation.

Security forces recovered a cache of arms and equipment from the factory. The items seized included six homemade firearms, 35 empty cartridges, five live rounds, a Chinese axe, 20 knives, two walkie-talkies with chargers, a megaphone, four parachute flares, and other tools and materials used for manufacturing weapons.
