3 killed in Jamalpur road crash 

Three persons were killed and another was injured in a road accident on the Jamalpur-Tangail road in Sadar upazila in Jamalpur today (October 4).

The victims are: Khokan Mahmud, 45, a resident of Kapas Hatia village, Abdul Malek, 53, of Sheikh Sadi village in Melandah upazila and Md Mostafizur Rahman, 55, of Megha Nayapara village in Jamalpur Sadar upazila.
 
Police said the accident took place around 6.30 am when a truck hit a battery-run easy bike in Belita area of the upazila, leaving easy bike driver Khokan dead on the spot and its three passengers injured.

The injured were sent to a local hospital where two succumbed to their injuries, said Faysal M Atiqik, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station.
