The government has promoted Additional Secretary Md Anwar Hossain to the rank of Secretary.

Following his promotion, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Tuesday (August 19), appointing him as Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Before this appointment, Anwar Hossain served as Vice-Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau.

His appointment follows the transfer of Senior Secretary Md Mokabbir Hossain of the Ministry of Science and Technology, who was reassigned on August 18 as Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources.
