BENAPOLE: A locally crowned ‘top terror’ was killed in an attack by his opponents at Shourdah Bazaar in Sharsha upazila on Sunday midnight.

The deceased was identified as Arab Ali, son of Rakam Ali of village Laxmanpur in Sharsha upazila. He was wanted in a dozen cases, including murder and arms cases.

Police and locals said his rivals kidnapped him from Shourdha Bazaar and beat him to death at night.  

Arab Ali was also an accused of Juba League leader Ratan and Showkat murder case, they added.

Police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to morgue for autopsy. A case was filed.
