The government is planning to set up separate voting booths for young voters in the upcoming national election, according to Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam.
He shared the information during a briefing held on Wednesday (July 9) evening at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.
The press secretary said the Chief Adviser has instructed authorities to complete all election-related law and order preparations by December.
He added that if preparations and necessary reforms are completed on schedule, the election could be held before Ramadan next year.
Further details about the arrangements for voters aged 18 to 32 and other election measures will be announced in the coming months.
