A Chattogram court today (November 26) denied bail to Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sammilita Sanatani Jagran Jote and principal of Pundarik Dham.
Judge Kazi Shariful Islam of the 6th Metropolitan Magistrate's Court issued the order around 11:45 am.
According to defense lawyer Advocate Dilip Kumar Nath, the court rejected the bail application submitted on behalf of the accused.
Chinmoy Krishna, a former ISKCON leader, was produced before the court in connection with a case filed on October 31.
The Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested him on Monday evening near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The case was lodged at Kotwali Police Station accusing Chinmoy Krishna and 18 others. He was brought before the 6th Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court under tight security around 10:30 am.
