Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely across Bangladesh in the next 24 hours, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said on Tuesday (Aug 5).
In its bulletin issued at 9 am, the Met office forecast light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers over most areas in Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. It also warned of moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas.
Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged throughout the country, the bulletin added.
On Monday, the highest temperature was recorded at 34°C in Madaripur, while Tuesday’s minimum temperature dropped to 21.6°C in Tangail.
In Dhaka, sunset is expected at 6:39 pm today, and sunrise at 5:30 am tomorrow.
