DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Siraj, key planner of Kishoreganj Sonali Bank loot, from Bhairab early Saturday.

Robbers made away with Tk 16.40 crore from a Sonali Bank branch in Kishoreganj by digging a tunnel into the bank’s vault.

Some 17 people including 12 officials of Sonali Bank in Kishoreganj, were interrogated in the Sadar police station in connection with the looting incident.

Later on January 28, mastermind Habib alias Sohel was arrested from capital’s Kadamtali area with Tk 16.19 crore looted money.
