CA Yunus urges youths to embrace 'three-zero' lifestyle

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today called on young people to become "three-zero persons" to safeguard the planet from destruction.

Speaking at the BIMSTEC Young Gen Forum on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit, he urged youths to embrace a new civilisation based on zero carbon emissions, zero waste, and zero wealth concentration.

Prof Yunus said that the world is heading towards self-destruction due to outdated economic models that promote carbon emissions, waste generation, and wealth concentration.

He also said that sustainability depends on wealth sharing and encouraged young people to adopt entrepreneurship.

He called the current youth generation the most powerful ever, emphasizing their role in creating a sustainable future.

He also said the importance of "three-zero clubs," where small groups commit to reducing their environmental and economic impact.

"If you want to change the world, start from your village," he added.
