Dhaka ranked 55th among cities with the worst air quality on Thursday morning, recording an AQI score of 58 at 9:32am, categorized as 'moderate'.

This level poses a light health risk, particularly for sensitive individuals. The city's air quality has remained at this level for several days.

Kampala, Kinshasa, and Minneapolis topped the list with AQI scores of 164, 151, and 151, respectively.

Dhaka, often struggling with air pollution, sees worse air in winter and slight improvement during monsoon.

As per the World Health Organization (WHO), air pollution kills an estimated seven million people worldwide every year.
