Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will hold separate meetings with the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Citizens' Party (NCP) on Sunday (August 31) to discuss the overall law and order situation in the country.
Earlier on Saturday, CA's press secretary Shafiqur Alam announced during a media briefing in front of the Chief Adviser’s official residence Jamuna.
According to the press secretary, the Chief Adviser will begin discussions at 3 with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), focusing on the prevailing political climate and upcoming elections. This will be followed by a meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami at 4:30 pm and another with the NCP at 6 pm.
Jamaat-e-Islami’s publicity wing confirmed that a four-member delegation led by Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher will attend the meeting at Jamuna.
The meetings come amid heightened political tension and growing concerns over security in the lead-up to national elections.
