The July National Charter 2025 will be signed on 15 October at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad in Dhaka, with the ceremony to be led by Chief Adviser of the interim government and Chairman of the National Consensus Commission Professor Muhammad Yunus.
Representatives from political parties and alliances across the country are expected to attend.
The decision was finalised on Thursday at a commission meeting held at its office in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
The meeting reviewed expert opinions and feedback gathered over five rounds of discussions the commission held with political parties on the charter’s implementation strategy.
The commission said it expects, based on the views of experts and political leaders, to submit recommendations on implementation mechanisms and the final version of the July Charter to the government in the near future.
The session was attended by Commission Vice-Chairman Prof Ali Riaz and members Badiul Alam Majumdar, Md Emdadul Haque, Iftekharuzzaman and Md Aiyub Mia. The Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Monir Haider was also present.
