KOLKATA:  Swine flu, a virus that is fatal for humans, erupted again in Kolkata, officials said.

Ashit Biswas, a spokesman for the Health Ministry of the West Bengal State government, said, “Two kids of five and six years have been found suffering from swine flu in Kolkata.”

The victims, hailed from Sonarpur and Kasba areas, were admitted into Beleghata ID Hospital of Kolkata on Friday evening, he added.

The hospital authorities did not reveal the identity of the affected kids. They said the guardians got their children admitted with direct symptoms of H1N1 virus.

Hospital Super Akhil Bandhu Biswas said, “The patients’ condition is normal, but the doctors kept them under intensive observation.”
