DHAKA: Four day labourers were killed as a truck tumbled into a roadside ditch at Diyabari in city’s Mirpur area Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Aktar Hossain, 29, Sirajuddin, 46, Jafarullah, 18, and Al amin, 25.

Sub-inspector of Turag police station Azizur Rahman told banglanews24.com.bd, “A tiles-laden truck fell into a roadside ditch in Tarartek area at about 10am as the driver lost his control over steering, killing two labourers on the spot and injuring two others.”

Of the injured, one succumbed to his injuries at Tongi Hospital while the other at Bangladesh Medical College Hospital, he said.

One body was handed over to family while three others kept in Turag police station.

A case was filed with Turag police station in this connection.
