KISHOREGANJ: Two persons, including a woman, were killed and two others wounded as a tank lorry ran over them while they were on a wait at a bus station in Katiadi upaizla Saturday morning.

The victims were identified as Rina Khatun,35, wife of Giasuddin of Gilakandi village, and Shovon,18.

Witnesses said the tank lorry ran over the four as the driver lost control over steering trying to give side to another passenger bus at about 11 am, killing Rina on the spot and injuring three others.

Of the injured, Shovon died on way to Bajitpur Hospital.

The injured were admitted to the Zahurul Haque Medical College Hospital.

Angered by the accident blamed mainly on reckless driving, a mob put barricade on Kishoreganj-Bhairab road, disrupting traffic for an hour.
